Josh Batty (B.Mus) aka. Bufferstroker, has been immersed in music his whole life. With a 17 year formal musical background playing trumpet and piano, Josh was invited to study at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts when he was 16, and completed his bachelor of music in 2007 from the Victorian College of the Arts.

Electronic music has always been his passion, especially the elements of techno and the amazing sound design skills by those on the Warp label etc, has left a burning desire in him to see how far he can push sound design primarily within the techno genre.

The past few years Josh has been performing at various underground parties in Melbourne, having played at Earthcore in 2007, and supporting acts such as Spoonbill and MISO. Also he has been involved in freelance sound design with SBS.
